About Gustafson Roofing
More Than 75 Years of South Florida Experience
Since 1948, the Gustafson name has been part of South Florida.
What began as a painting company has grown into a trusted provider of residential roofing, commercial roofing, and exterior painting services for homeowners, businesses, and property owners throughout the region.
Across more than seven decades, the services have expanded and the company has evolved, but the foundation behind the Gustafson name has remained focused on quality work, dependable service, and lasting relationships with the communities we serve.
Today, Gustafson continues that work as Gustafson Powered by Stronghouse, combining generations of South Florida experience with additional resources and operational support for the future.

YEARS OF SOUTH
FLORIDA EXPERIENCE
Our Story
A company story told in chapters, not a wall of text.
1948
It Started in South Florida in 1948
The Gustafson story began in 1948, when Tom and Carol Gustafson founded Gustafson Painting in Fort Lauderdale.
Serving residential and commercial properties throughout Broward County, the company built its early reputation through quality workmanship and dependable service. Those relationships helped establish a name that would continue to grow throughout South Florida for decades.
Painting was where the Gustafson story started, but it would not be where it ended.
1974
Growing Into Roofing
A New Generation. An Expanding Vision.
In 1974, Tom's son Mike joined the business, beginning a new chapter for Gustafson.
Under his leadership, the company introduced roofing services and expanded beyond Broward County into Dade and Palm Beach Counties. Gustafson's combination of local experience, roofing expertise, and commitment to quality helped the company continue growing throughout South Florida.
Over the decades that followed, roofing became a defining part of the Gustafson name.
Residential properties. Commercial buildings. Repairs. Replacements. Maintenance. Painting.
As South Florida changed, Gustafson changed with it, building firsthand experience with the climate, properties, and roofing systems unique to the region.
